They are the night-time version of morning glories.
Moonflowers only bloom after the sun goes down. We have some growing on the fence, and I love looking out there before I go to bed to see the large white blossoms, showing off in the dark.
Looks like I'm not the only one who admires them.
Truly a beautiful flower which I've never grown. Are they aggressive in the flower bed?
ReplyDeleteYes, they can be. They grow long, long vines so they need to be on a fence or something to support them. They are annual but they reseed themselves here. I have seen hummingbirds on them just at dark. They are worth the effort! :)
