Sunday Scripture: Follow

Beloved, follow not that which is evil,  but that which is good. He that doeth  good is of God: but he that doeth evil  hath not seen God. 3 John:11

Sunday Scripture: Clean

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and  renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not  thy holy spirit from me.  ~Psalms 51:10-11

Sunday Scripture: Preach

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18   KJV

Sunday Scripture: Search

Hast thou not known?  hast thou not  heard, that the everlasting God, The  LORD, the Creator of the ends of the  earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?   There is no searching of His  understanding. ~Isaiah 40:28

Sunday Scripture: Look

Look unto me , and be ye saved, all the  ends of the earth: for I am God , and  there is none else. ~Isaiah 45:22

Sunday Scripture: Freedom

Live as people who are  free,  not using  your  freedom  as  a cover-up for evil, but  living as servants of God. ~1 Peter 2:16

Sunday Scripture: Devotion

In the presence of God and the Messiah Jesus, who is going to judge those who are living and those who are dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly appeal to you    to proclaim the message. Be ready to do this whether or not the time is convenient. Refute, warn, and encourage with the utmost patience when you teach.    For the time will come when people will not tolerate healthy doctrine, but with itching ears will surround themselves with teachers who cater to their people’s own desires.  They will refuse to listen to the truth and will turn to myths.  But you must be clear-headed about everything. Endure suffering. Do the work of an evangelist. Devote yourself completely to your ministry. ~2 Timothy 4:1-5

No Shaking

He alone is my rock , my deliverance , and my  high tower;      nothing will shake me. ~Psalm 62:6

Sunday Scripture: Shout Aloud!

Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for Great is the HOLY ONE of Israel among you. ~Isaiah 12:6

Sunday Scripture: Peculiar

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,   Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;   Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;   Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ~Titus 2:11-14

Sunday Scripture: Breathing Room

God , the one and only—      I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I need comes from him ,      so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet,      breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle:      I’m set for life. ~Psalm 62:1-2 The Message

Sunday Scripture: Last Word

Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does. ~1 Peter 5:8-11 The Message

Sunday Scripture: Possible

Jesus looked at them and said, “ With man this is impossible, but not  with God;   all   things   are   possible  with  God .”   ~Mark 10:27

Sunday Scripture: Wonderful

For unto us a Child is  born, unto us a Son is  given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder:   and His name shall be called Wonderful , Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace . ~Isaiah 9:6

Sunday Scripture: Light

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.    And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. ~John 1:1-5
