Where Did All the Birds Go?

We have been feeding birds since we move here in August of 2002.  Usually, during the winter we have dozens of cardinals, nuthatches, chickadees, woodpeckers, and others that come to the feeders on the deck.  This year, we have none. Nada.  I haven't seen a cardinal since Christmas. We suspect it is because of this hawk that has been hanging around for a while.  Hub saw it chasing a smaller bird a few days ago. Will the hawk stay forever?  Will my birds come back?  I really miss watching them on the feeders.  Advice, anyone?

Sunday Scripture: Mourning into Dancing

You did it: you changed wild lament      into whirling dance; You ripped off my black mourning band      and decked me with wildflowers. I’m about to burst with song;      I can’t keep quiet about you. God , my God,      I can’t thank you enough. ~Psalm 30:11-12 The Message

Sunday Scripture: Rain

If you live by my decrees and obediently keep my commandments, I will send the rains in their seasons, the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their fruit. You will thresh until the grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting time; you’ll have more than enough to eat and will live safe and secure in your land.   ~Leviticus 26:3-5 The Message
