The Franklin County Watermelon Festival, Russellville, Alabama, Friday, August 15. Watermelon royalty. Lots of watermelon to enjoy. Best steak sandwich ever. The watermelon festival continues today with a car show this morning, arts and crafts, and watermelon contests. There is music throughout the day, including Sammy Kershaw tonight at eight.   

It was a perfect night for a street party, and Tuscumbia was the perfect place to have it. Beautiful town,  Beautiful music, and beautiful people to share it with.  There was lots of foot-tapping going on. This may be the best Handy Festival ever.
