From Thursday to Sunday last week, Hub and I were at Bluegrass on the Plains festival near Auburn, Alabama. It was at the University Station park and campground.
There was no permanent shelter, but this giant awning provided shade. It didn't help much during the downpour Thursday night, when the show had to be cancelled because of a storm. The weather was great for the rest of the festival.
There were too many musicians there to name them all, but here are some of my favorites:
Chris Jones and the Night Drivers
Claire Lynch
Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out
Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder
Bailey Mountain Cloggers
Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver
Rhonda Vincent and the Rage
. . . and the sun goes down on another festival.
