Clifton is a beautiful little town in Wayne County, nestled on the banks of the Tennessee River.
It has beautiful old buildings, great architecture, and some of the friendliest people in the world.
In the 2000 census, the population was listed at 2699 souls . On Saturday, during the annual Horseshoe Bend festival, the population exploded to about twenty thousand, including Hub and me.
There were vendors,
lots of great food (sorry I didn't snap a photo of my blooming onion; I was enjoying my blooming onion too much!),
three fly-bys through a perfect sky,
and lots and lots of music.
It was a fabulous day!
Clifton, Tennessee, is only about fifty miles from where we live. They have had this festival for thirty years, and this is the first time we have gone. But if the Lord is willing, it won't be the last.
