Faith, Folklore, and Friends

Yesterday was the last Music in the Park for this summer.  It was a beautiful day, not hot at all for late June.  There were approximately 850 people there, but it is hard to be accurate when people are coming and going all the time. Our fearless leader, Mike Adams . He and some others do a fantastic job with Music in the Park every summer. The musical performer was Grammy winning artist, Gary Nichols .  He didn't disappoint, but then, he never does. There will be a fall series of Music in the Park  on Wednesdays in October. See you there!

It was a perfect day for music in beautiful Wilson Park.   I'm so happy I got to be there. Music in the Park is every Wednesday during May and June, from 11:30 to 1:30.  Great entertainment, and its free!  Thanks, Florence Parks and Recreation.

It was a hot day, but if you could find a spot in the shade, it was the perfect day for Music in the Park. The music was by Shannon Knight, and it was fabulous. We have made it two weeks without getting rained on.  Hallelujah!

Yesterday, Hub and I went to the first Music in the Park for this year. It was a cool but beautiful day, nice for sitting outside.  Good people and good music made it almost perfect. Music in the Park is every Wednesday during May and June.  It is from 11:30 until 1:30.  Bring a chair and an umbrella (I speak from experience).  Steak and Stuff is there if you want to buy your lunch, or you can bring your own.  Wilson Park in downtown Florence is such a beautiful place to spend some time. A big shout-out to Mike Adams, Todd Nix, the Florence Parks and Recreation Department, and everyone else who makes this happen.
