On Saturday morning, we went to Margie's for one of her annual hummingbird bandings. We have seen it several times before, but we always learn something new.
This year, there weren't as many hummingbirds coming to the feeders, making them harder to capture for banding. There were plenty of hummingbirds, but they were just not dining at the feeders. And who could blame them when they have all this natural nectar just waiting for them?
Our county has a wonderful asset in Margie, and we are so thankful to her for opening her gardens to all of us.
